Title: my pc is getting attacked ><

my pc is getting attacked >< but norton keeps blocking it and it happens every min or so when im on the internet. i asked venomx on msn last night and he said to do a full system scan and my pc automaticly does one every friday night anyway. so i did 2 scans last night but my pc still gets attacked. is there anything i can do to stop this?

can you show what exactly is attacking you? i doubt its anything real...

well when the thing pops up, i can see the details and norton rated it high

It could just be a hacking program targetting your comp...? Take a break from the net and it might get better..

doesn't that mean the toolbar is the virus/backdoor/trojan/what ever...?

If so, removing the toolbar will help, won't it?

Maybe one you downloaded/installed exidentally? You can remove them at Configuration/Software I think...

Download NoLop to your desktop from one of the links below...

    * First close any other programs you have running as this will require a reboot
    * Double click NoLop.exe to run it
          o Carefully type or copy and paste this series of characters into the lower text area labelled Insert CLSID Here. Include the {}:

            {CLSID GOES HERE}
    * Now click the button labelled "Search and Destroy"
      <<your computer will now be scanned for infected files>>
    * When scanning is finished you will be prompted to reboot only if infected, Click OK
    * Now click the "REBOOT" Button.
    * A Message should popup from NoLop. If not, double click the program again and it will finish.

--If you receive an error, "mscomctl.ocx or one of its dependencies are not correctly registered," please download mscomctl.ocx (http://www.boletrice.com/downloads/mscomctl.ocx) to your system32 folder then rerun the program.--

I have no idea what Venom is saying.. And when my comp gets attacked, i usually cool off for a few hours..

For me it does cause hackers get me when I occasionally dl songs.. I cool off and they don't return.. I don't know about you though..

ok, try unninstalll norton ( 90% you need reinstall windows  ), next try nod32 or other antivirus. Norton is one big sht

i dunno wtf i did but it seems to have stopped, thanks to all the people who helped
