I've always wanted to make 3D pictures.
Get yourself a copy of C4D or 3DSMax and get crackin'.
Bloody well done, firefly, very realistic looking
-
This looks exactly like the original, amazing job . Probably the best 3d model I've ever seen, what did you use to make it?
-
HOLY SHIT! I have that very guitar and it looks identical. I thought it was a photo! YOU'RE A GENIUS!

VERY nice. Only thing I don't like is the background, but the piece it self is just awesome.

Ah, I see . I guess you play mostly metal/rock?
I prefer Fenders for the tone and quality, it's just orgasmic sometimes when connected to the right amp . But then again, I play a lot of different kinds of music. I believe that Fenders are more versatile than Gibsons. I have to agree on that Gibsons sound better in metal.
-
I also try to play a lot of different styles, but mostly rock/metal and a bit of blues. I've found my LP to be quite versatile too, but it really shines in blues-rock and metal.
They both sound great in the right hands
-
Les Pauls were originally jazz guitars and Strats were used for blues originally, but either could be used for Rock/Metal with the right modifications and sometimes even stock...I prefer ESP's, Jacksons, or Gibson Explorers though...then again, I'm a metal guitarist

I don't like ESP's or Jacksons at all :|, they're not comfortable to play with . But they do produce the most bad-ass metal sounds you can get from a guitar. Suited for modern metal.
I have a mexican Stratocaster (2 SC, 1 HB), and it works great along with everything. I am going to change my pick-ups though, it will sounds x100 better with "non-mexican" pick-ups.

I have to disagree, I love their feeling, I'd kill for a Custom Shop King V...oh and replace the pickups for DiMarzio's or Duncans, they're really good for any type of music, also what amp do you have?
-
Les Pauls own, I have one just like that. Has THE best tone for metal IMO. Jacksons are pretty good too but aren't great for all types of music. I don't like fenders at all.
-
I have a little 15W Marshall practise amp that I got used for like 20 bucks . It's good enough for now as I only play at home, I've only been playing guitar for a year or so. I hated the fuzzy distortion of the Marshall, so I got a multieffect pedal (zoom G2.1u) for it, and it improved the overall sound quality a lot. The pickups on mine are stock, I'm thinking of getting some EMGs or DiMarzios.

I don't own any amp . I play through my Line 6 Floor Pod Plus (connected to my speakers or my computer speakers). It makes recording hell of a lot easier too. I just have to buy a new soundcard and then we're talking .
