Ah, I see . I guess you play mostly metal/rock?

I prefer Fenders for the tone and quality, it's just orgasmic sometimes when connected to the right amp . But then again, I play a lot of different kinds of music. I believe that Fenders are more versatile than Gibsons. I have to agree on that Gibsons sound better in metal.

They both sound great in the right hands

It's good enough for now as I only play at home, I've only been playing guitar for a year or so. I hated the fuzzy distortion of the Marshall, so I got a multieffect pedal (zoom G2.1u) for it, and it improved the overall sound quality a lot. The pickups on mine are stock, I'm thinking of getting some EMGs or DiMarzios.

I don't own any amp . I play through my Line 6 Floor Pod Plus (connected to my speakers or my computer speakers). It makes recording hell of a lot easier too. I just have to buy a new soundcard and then we're talking .
