Challenge: Perform the best bike stunt which has some sort of "precision" element to it.
I have made the matches for this week only be 5 days long seeing as people may have other commitments due to easter. Also, sorry for not getting around to posting these earlier, I too had easter commitments.
Good luck guys.
-
Go sabotage!!! yay go go sabotage!! if he can't do it no one can!!! yay!!!
Dannye you spelled "stunt" wrong.
-
Go Tack! =)
-
Damn, I would've like to have something else than a bike stunt. I will do my best job, good luck to you too.
-
Well, you WILL need some luck on this, so good luck for you two
-

do you want my taxi stunt i need to land for this i can't land taxi shit
-
Grinding, could that be an example of a "precision element"?
-
You go guys, GL to both of you
-
Grinding, could that be an example of a "precision element"?
I would say yes , because it needs a little precision to land on the rail
-
Hmm, I am not sure. I only had a couple specific ideas that popped into my mind: (the obvious one of a) precision landing, and (another one being perhaps) a runnup that goes along a thin wall or something, and then I hoped there might be some other possibilities too.
I obviously hadn't considered that grinding would be one of those options, but the way I worded the challenge, I guess its true, some grinding stunts do involve an element of precision in them. Such as ones with a big distance between the stunt and the grind, or one which requires a really tough angle to get to the grind, or one with many obstacles between the air and the grind itself, or one that involves other methods in such a way that making it onto the grind is quite hard, etc.
I have a feeling its gonna make judging harder (its not gonna be easy if we have to compare a really cool grind with a really cool precision landing), but I guess some grinds would fit the challenge, and thus I can't not allow them. So, if you honestly beleive that your grind involves some 'precision-ness' then I guess it will be acceptable. If you arent 100% sure whether its really precision or not, just park a truck at the end of the grind and land in it .

Great answer, thanks.
-
Is there any way I could get an extension?
-
Ask tack if he'd be okay with it, then pm NoAP (thats right, he's back now!).
It could be possible, seeing as none of next week's matches depend on the result of this one, but it'll be up to those two guys I mentioned above.
-
Is there any way I could get an extension?
EDIT:
Oh, damn. I thought we had more time.
Guess we need some more time then...
EDIT2:
I think I did one stunt during the time period. Can I send it now, or is it too late?
-
EDIT:
I will submit another stunt instead.
-
As long as the stunt is done before the deadline
Someone clip t3h stunt!!
-
awsome stunt, Tack
-
Someone clip t3h stunt!!
x2
-
The stunt has to be submitted before the deadline =/
-
The stunt has to be submitted before the deadline =/
Yeah, I guess so...
I think we both lose, or we will get it extended.
-
SabotagE says:
Well since I asked for an extension before the deadline and neither of us had submitted stunts I don't think it would matter
-
Ask tack if he'd be okay with it, then pm NoAP (thats right, he's back now!).
You both have an extra 48 hours to submit a stunt. I don't want to see any more double forfeits, it screws up the tournament.
-
SabotagE says:
okey dokey
-
Its alright guys, there's no way we are gonna let a quarter final match end like this. I am sure you will get an extension so you can hopefully both submit a stunt. (Since NoAP is back I guess it will be him to have the final word on this, but I am sure he will feel the same way).
-
@Dannye and everyone: I sent PMs to both, they've got 48 hours (from when I sent the PM) to submit their stunts. Tack has the option of submitting a different stunt if he so chooses.

Thanks, I will submit another stunt.

Didn't it say "bike stunt"?

Challenge: Perform the best bike stunt which has some sort of "precision" element to it.
Haha he's right
Cool stunt though, clean landing
-
Lol that's sad. Very nice stunt but I reckon it aint that hard to perform, since Squalos get stuck on solid ground. The smallest object I've landed with one is one of those "SUBWAY" signs in LC.
-
People make mistakes.
-
That's a pitty because that really was a good precision stunt. But alas, it is not a bike stunt.
-
heres ryans stunt again lolOLoLol
-
poonage
-
Damn, only like one and a half hour left. Got to hurry...
EDIT:
Or have I been counting wrong again?
-
sorry dude, deadline was 4 hours ago lol
-
sorry dude, deadline was 4 hours ago lol
I see now that the deadline was more than 10 hours ago (we had 48 hours from that PM we received). Though that means we both missed the deadline again.
What happens now?
-
You guys should have countdown clock or something
-
SabotagE:
well that shouldn't count because I couldn't get the PM because my account is suspended =/
I went by NoAP's post =[
Edit:
I don't know if my stunt is valid, but if it is, I don't want to win without Tack being able to submit a stunt. I don't want to be a pest, but can we have some extra time? =/
-

If it's ok to send stunts after the deadline, I would've won in the first place (since I submitted a stunt which was performed in the original time limit, but I sent it after the deadline). I'm sorry if you couldn't receive the PM, but you got only your self to blame. (I wrote all of this before seeing you edited your post)
Edit:
I would also apprecieate some extra time. Very kind of you to ask that, thanks.
-
You know what, I give up. It wouldn't feel good if I manage to get a stunt which is better than yours anyway.
Here's a stunt I made in the first time limit:

If it's ok for the judges (and you sabo), I would like you to approve this and sabotage's last stunt, and then judge them.
-
For some weird unknown reason i couldnt add text, so the first in VC is Sabotage and the second in LC is Tackleberry..

Tackle all the way, really nice stunt. Sabo's didn't seem to take that much precision IMO.
-
Really nice Tackle, ive tried wheeling that close to an edge but i fell
-
Sabo had the most spectacular stunt.
I think they're both equally difficult, perhaps Tackle's was a little harder if you're not used to those kinda stunts.
Good round.
-
pure Sabo =(
-
Sabatage ftw.
-
lawl
GL Tack
-
ahhh nice going on an angle like that is hard... and faggio stoppie are nothing too special you just hold 9 and steer, some of you need to watch early 2004 vidz haha.
-
Well he didn't just start a stoppie while driving forward, it was a little more technical than that.
-
I dunno, I guess I like Sabos more, as it seems alot more difficult than a stoppie. It isn't really that hard to stoppie along something, even if it is downhill.
-
I think i'm goin with Sabo too, it was a bit more "precision" and a bit better..
-
Lol nvm, I was thinking about the boat stunt z_Z
-
Since both of you guys posted stunts, we're going to judge the last ones you both sent (I think Cdarmy clipped them).
Thanks for that.
So yeah, you may start voting.
-
I liked Tackle's stunt better mainly because I want to see Sabotage lose.
-
Sabotage: Pretty good stunt man, the angle must've been hard and it's nice to see new stunts around that area of vice city.
Tackle: Pretty normal stunt man, however the execution was pretty nice since you made a quick turn to the left and right which can usually cause you to bail out of a stoppie. So good work on that.
-

love you too
-
Sabo's stunt made me go while Tackleberry's was more of a
Tack would get my vote.
-
Too bad that sabo couldnt use that boat stunt, cause its one of the best boat stunts I've seen. Really, just fucking amazing.
-
Here come the Big, Bad Judges!! WEREWOLF and Eddeman are both in this topic with me!
Wow, I am really pleased to see two different notions of precision. One was a precision landing and one was a precision stoppie. Its nice to see variation in stunts.
SabotagE: Height and distance weren't too impressive but the run-up in that area is sucky at best. Using the scrap piles as a ramp is also pretty tough since they aren't as smooth as one might like. The precision landing was pretty good, especially since you landed in that inner area. Its not an easy landing either.
Tackleberry: On the surface, it appeared to be just a normal stoppie, but I really liked how you kinda flirted with the ledge on both sides. Using the ramp thing there made it tougher to get a good, straight bearing. However, I would've preferred a shorter stoppie on a narrower ledge. I felt that ledge was too wide to truely be a great precision stunt.
My vote goes to SabotagE. I felt his precision landing was more impressive and difficult.
-
Sabotage: A very cool stunt, I generally like these ramp2landing stunts, as they show that you have to have an eye of creativity to find new ways to land stuff with them.
Tackleberry: Like NoAp said, it's hard to get a stunt like that going, and going to the edges was generally nice, but then again, it didn't have enough of the precision that I was hoping for. Thus:
My Vote Goes To: Sabotage, since he had the better looking and IMO more precisionlike stunt. I guess Im just used to SA precision stunts, but yeah, nice stunts both of you
-
SabotagE:
nice tankbump, you didn't have a big air and i can't say it need much precision but the tank position looked kinda unstable and you had to fly completely to the right which makes the stunt harder
Tackleberry:
that was pretty long stoppie on a pretty thin ledge but on the other hand it was just a stoppie(well-performed tho)
although i think Tack's stunt had more precision i expected to see more precise ones. comparing the stunts itself i find SabotagE's stunt a better one
My vote: SabotagE
-
You win and you deserve it. Congrats.
I'm sorry to let the judges down by not making a very good stunt. I had to focus on other stuff. But I'm still in the tournament, I promise I'll do better next time.
-
@Tack: No need to apologize, I know you guys got a lot of real life commitments to take of first. Good luck next week against Bloodyhook.
SabotagE wins and will play the loser's round champion in the Final 4our.
