the trailer is 15 hours away.... so...

what are your thoughts about GTA4?....will it be as good as the other GTAs? or will rockstar shit themselves?....will it be good for stunting?...or just another SA let down (imo)?  Who is gonna be the character?...will there be bikes?....how big will the city be? where will the city be?.... will I fart in a few seconds? will there be cameos from past characters into GTA4? in what year will it be set?... do you hate microsoft? will a PC version come out soon?

i have so many questions

I want a surfer dude in Hawaii named Hunachi to be the main guy. No shooting, no missions, no guns, no hookers, no gangsters, no gangstAs, no snappy gangster outfits  

I wanna be able to ride around on a jet skii all day long with Broagy, my surfer friend. I wanna be able to surf, then take my board and smack around some surfer posers. I want to be able to choose my swim trunks, and lay on the beach with a boner so girls will come to me.  

I wanna be able to get high and drunk, and party all night long, then go jet skiing, only to get caught by some asshole boat policeman, who we beat the shit out of and fuck his wife        


It'll probably be like that.

I'd love for the cars to NOT be real cars just because I've grown a custom to the Vice City and San Andreas cars. I've gotten a similar taste to see what GTA would be like with real cars aka RealGTA and the cars didn't fit too much but we'll see.

They are still supporting it, they still have a modding section on SA site, and they contacted LC, SAMP, and MTA as far as I know, and enjoy them.

I think that just because Its GTA it doesnt mean we have to care with it. I like VC and I  like SA a little. But the stunts are good now and there are many other ideas that we didnt land that yet. What if It wont be stuntable? Shall we try to stunt in it? or delete the section?! I hope the second gonna happen because The stunts in VC and SA are just Bugs. And in SA there are less bug than in VC so I guess in the new GTA there wont be any bug...

Good point, but in my opinion it will still be stuntable. You can stunt on almost any game (just it might not be very good) but if your right about the bug part that will suck.

Ofcourse they aren't bugs (unless you count BSM and such) the word is physics, in real life the same thing would happen, only we would probably fall off .

Well the skateboard was suppose to debut in SA but they took it out at the last moment. So theres a strong possibilitie of it being in GTA4

I think modding will still be possible but they probably wont leave anymore hidden sex scenes/games.

It looks very good, graphically. I doubt rollercoaster will be able to actually ride it properly...

I'm trying to think more of the game's plot. Vercetti, we had him trying to get back Sonny's money (but he got greedy and kicked everyone's arse). CJ, it was just ghetto gangs in 90s LA, trying to get his brother out of jail and off Tenpenny's leash. For this - a dodgy-looking Russian who appears to be a loner - he looks like someone you wouldn't feel sympathy for, unlike CJ and Tommy (not so much for Tommy though haha).

I think it'll be a much better version that LC failed to achieve. Maybe there'll be more to follow. We will see. Well done to Rockstar for keeping this from being leaked!

Let's think back to the first GTA. That had small-scale top-down views of three seperate places: Liberty City, San Andreas and Vice City.

They're now repeating Liberty City. I doubt they could repeat ALL of San Andreas but maybe a portion of it - and then Vice City too. Just a thought.

One thing. If we're going back to LC, there aren't gonna be any bikes cause they were banned in LCS (1998) that's why there were no bikes in GTA3 (2001).

I highly doubt it's LC, the game looks way too similar to NY. I think R* is gonna do what Activision and Treyarch did with Spider-Man 2. (Base the game and the places and areas on NY)

I mean looking at that trailer without any other information we couldve just thought oh damn its going to be that city. Im hopeful more cities will come, and for one thing the graphics in IV look awesome

EDIT: Another idea I have is....well the parts that look like LC, thats LC and those parts that look new and different like the theme park and statue, well thats another city that exists in GTAIV, that is probably the most reasonable explanation

They are not finished with the game yet, they were just showing what they got done. I doubt they have implemented any airplanes/bikes/helis etc. It makes since that they would only use basic vehicles to start with dont it? They will prlly show off more features and shit later on. Stuntable or not, its gonna own. And if we know rockstar, they always put little easter eggs all over the place. So having "liberty" on a sign is just looking back at the older games and shit like that. This looks like real NYC, so why would they even bother to change the name?

quite frankly i think that russian guy is "fido's" brother......I mean you never actually heard fido talk, so I wouldn't put it passed rockstar to do another "VCS Storyline".....VCS's storyline is one of my top favorites... VC's is the best one though

Some parts we saw was Liberty Coty for sure, no doubt. But the statue was from New York. I think there are more parts and not just Liberty City.

All said and done the trailer had nice graphics and such... but R* have run out of ideas methinks, WHY go back to LC.... that was a stupid move, unless it's what I suspect and they have added each game into one.

Pretty cool graphics tho, nice shades and stuff like that. Oh and the character looks like that guy in GTA3 who was driving the car at the intro... Miguel or something like that.

Anyway I don't think it will be any good at stunting... I think it will be a new engine.

But yeah... I have to wait till 2008's summer for the PC version.

I've got a theory now, far-fetched (kinda) but might be an idea, say they had 3 main characters, and there going to do 3 trailers, now say for each trailer they show one island, first being LC, second VC, third SA, all with different characters, how does that sound?

If it is Liberty City, it will be really different, there seem to be more buildings and old buildings are shaped differently...also another bridge visible as well, i think it will be different enough if it is LC (which i dont think it is)

I wouldnt put it past R* to have those textures in to get people thinking like they have been, i mean it would take much to change text on a car or boat etc
