Title: Region 4 FINAL: Torque vs. Bloodyhook12
Post by: NoAPOlogies on March 24, 2007, 05:32:52 PM: Challenge: Perform the best stunt in Vice City using a 4 wheeled vehicle which is not a sports-car (Eg. No cheetah, infernus, banshee, comet) or a taxi/cabbie/whatever.

Post by: Torque on March 26, 2007, 07:37:26 PM: A problem with my VC had occurred I turned it on earlier before this post and everything was fine, except that everything was really slow. My FPS was at 30 yet everything was moving super slow and laggy I'm gonna try reinstalling the game and I'll update this post to let you guys know if it's working fine or not. If it can't be fixed can I ask for the date to be pushed?

Edit: I just reinstalled the game, going in to test it out.

Edit2: Ok it's fixed guys, no need to worry now. (I'm so relieved) Bad news is that I accidentally deleted my 150 skins of GTAS members throughout the ages.

Post by: Dannye on March 30, 2007, 01:08:28 AM: BloodyHook12: You pulled off the type of stunt I would have been happy to see done in an infernus, and you did it in a firetruck, very nice. Considering the vehicle, the bump was quite impressive, decent height and distance. The line looked difficult too (with the tree's and the tough height of the building). You did well to pull it off, shame about falling to the lower roof, but it was still a cool stunt.

Torque: A tough spot and a tough vehicle. You did quite well to pull off a bump like that and actually land up on the structure. You even had a funny looking two-wheeled landing too.

My Vote: I was always looking forward to what this challenge had to offer, and I must say I am happy with the result. Two decent stunts with two uncommon stunting vehicles are exactly what I wanted to see. I am going to give my vote to BloodyHook because to me it seemed to be a more impressive stunt - the height and distance were great for the vehicle, and the roof landing was great. Nevertheless, I must commend Torque on choosing an even stranger vehicle choice and pulling off a tough stunt. Well done guys, good luck in your future matches.

Post by: Brulla on March 30, 2007, 03:36:43 AM: An OK stunt from torque, I think you should of done it in a much slower/heavier vehicle, cause that spot is easy as hell, a manana would been nice for example.

Bloodhook's stunt was awesome, that one was on my to-do list, I was planning to do it in a firetruck or in a ambulance, good job nailing that, too bad you fell off the highest roof though, that was a small let down.

Sweet stunts both of them. I preferred BH's stunt

awesome idea, your bump looked harder and you did it on a firetruck. too bad you bailed from the higher part of the roof tho.

both stunts were good however the landings were fucked up. BH's bump looked harder and roof landing looked nicer.

Torque: Such a nice stunt for such a slow car, really impressed me. Think I've seen someone do it before though, not sure.

In the end I'm going to give my vote to Torque, cause I felt his stunt was the harder one considering the speed of the car. He also had a better execution, staying on his intended target, whereas Bloodyhook dropped down to the lower part of the roof which makes the powerful bump pretty pointless.

Nice work guys, hope you had fun doing the stunts.

Post by: NoAPOlogies on March 30, 2007, 02:36:00 PM: This was a very tough match to call since both vehicles are so seldom used in the stunting world. To better gauge the stunts, I spent a good deal of time trying each stunt so I can figure out which was the better stunt.

Torque: Good height and distance. That bump is tough to get good height off of unless you hit it just right. Even then you start spinning around.

BloodyHook: If you had stayed on the higher roof, you would've gotten my vote. Still a good stunt, but it could've been so much better if you had stayed on.

My vote goes to Torque.

Torque: Your stunt was good, good height and distance. Looked pretty hard, too bad the landing was kinda sketchy though.

Bloodyhook: Your stunt was powerful, a great bump to airport place. The landing was disheartening, but I know it would be pretty hard to stay up there with the angle of the bump.

This is a hard choice, but BLOODYHOOK GETS MY VOTE!
