Looks ok , the colors are a bit too duo-tone for me , maybe introduce a third color jsut to give it some variety,

the actually BG pattern is ok but maybe a sharpen ?

but i really think you need to rework that text, try a blending mode like overlay or softlight and if you have the CS3 bets try using the add darker blending mode
