Scripting

Fugitive

(The first seconds of the stunting part was made with scripting, by Fugitive. The stunt wasn't made by scripting, but the helicopter flight and camera movement. The intro was made with vegas and cam hack in SA, no scripting there.)

Other info

The new crew collab featuring TMS and XSA is finally here. This probably the biggest project ever for both crews. Never before in the two crews has so many hours been put down on making a single video. Both in stunting and editing wise. I also don't think any of the crews have planned a video for so long in advance. Enough about that now, watch and enjoy.

We certainly planned this one for a long time, I think Ostits and me started planning this one after the Overwatch2 release.
Everyone did an amazing job getting stunts for this. This also has to be one of Tac's best edited vids so far. Goodjob to everyone invloved. I think this is a succesful sequel to the original As One.

Best SA vid imo. Highlights for me were Kerts wallride, all of TDs infernus stuff, Fugis opening bump, Tacs bbgs, Explos BSMs, RADs triple bump in SF and Livs infernus stuff. Basically everything Great editing by Tac too, pulled the whole thing together as usual. Great vid.

Stunts were superb. As a precision lover this video surely entertained me. A couple of really nice grinds here and there, and a solid effort from everyone involved in this, including Tac's editing work, it was astounding to say the least.

I dunno, those impressed me a lot. Everything else was very good too. RAD got a bump idea of mine, damn good fucking bump that was. Nice editing, even though Im pretty sure the song has been used before. Definitely one of the top SA vids at the moment.

Kert saw some great stuff from u and falcon and durtle tick and tits and cory, basically not one stunt was shit, I know that was the plan. The editing was really nice. One of the best edited vids of all time imo. I think the vid would have been a bit better with some pwnage stuntman stunts hehe, nah i fucked up not doing it in time all my own fault, i had plenty of time to do my bit. I wont make excuses but my music comes first really. Aoa has inspired me to get back on the scene so well done everyone involved, really good job boys, quality

My thoughts about the music. The song was used before, yes. Though we picked this one and then Ostis told us it was old. Though so many didn't know it was old, so it wasn't a big deal in our opinion. The song worked great and I'm glad we chose it. We didn't "steal" it, we just wanted to make a great vid with it.

Post by: Tackleberry on August 26, 2006, 03:03:42 AM: Already plenty of people have asked me how I made the intro, therefore I'll explain here so you don't have to ask...

First of all, I searched for the .txd-file for the big hangar (the one with a big "door", which opens when you're close to it) at LV airport. Then I just exported all files and started to change them (imgtool and txd workshop were used). I colored all of them in one solid color, green. Now we had our greenscreen, just had to import them to the game again (with imgtool).

Then I put CJ in the hangar, at the place were floor, walls and roof are all green. I just made him walk there, with the camera straight from the side. I did this with all stunters CJ's, yeah, it took some time... Then I want to a cool spot, decided to go with the bridge you see in the intro. I placed CJ on the road, then I used camhack and pressed "2". This makes CJ invisible. So now I just had to walk along the road. This way I got the camera walk in the exact speed.

Also, all of this was recorded at 50% speed. I just set it to 50% in SACC. I did that because I think it looks cooler, also it's easier to work with the clips in Vegas that way. I speeded them up a bit in Vegas, which made them look like they were in better quality. That way I got a bit of slowmotion, but even with better quality than normal.

Finally I added them to the timeline and used the effect "chroma keyer"-"greenscreen". This makes all the green colors on a clip transparent. Also I had to adjust the settings a bit. It was also needed to pan/crop some clips, to make the CJ's in the quite same length.

Hope this cleared things out for you.

This was a 90ft P2B and it was so damn hard to get that height and less distance, and it was damn hard to aim the bump while I was at 210km/h. That one is one of my bests damn stunts ever.

I don't really understand, but I think the answer is "no"... I didn't use any mod for that. I added some effects in Vegas to make it look better though.

ok..stand outs:omg..they were ALL stand outs.
i liked these alot-the inferno ontop the silo using chopper to land it.
the inferno onto middle crane beam.
ALL the cork/krail grinds..HUGE air on all of them,i like the Tackleberry krail to BB grind,the HUGE HUGE krail jump from the bridge to the train tracks rail,Explosions krail over the wash to fence grind
and of course,what completes it all is the RAD p2b's,the one at the end to top of crane,no need for words..you all ready know.

this video is my new favorite.

...ok im gona rant a little, and talk some annoying crap about what was behind my stunts, and what it took to land them.

2:28 - Ok, the small landing...the hard part about this stunt is that the only landable parts are the 2 THIN pipes...go check that spot out. The main reason i landed that stunt is that i was lucky. But, stunting is all about luck. It might not be a very "high" stunt, as in height and distance and that thing...but yea...

3:32 - Same again...It might not be a very "high" stunt, as in height and distance and that thing...but it was annoying as f**k. Trying to land something small that's behind you is not very easy.

4:34 - I sent that stunt in cause BSM's are new in SA, and landing a stadium is always good (ask TD )
Also, i was going for a nice mix of stunts...and that BSM was a nice variety stunt. Annoying as hell due to the fence breaking all the time. And also, it was pretty high (for a BSM), so all the people who enjoy height and distance in stunts might enjoy it

5:12 - well this loop/ tunnel wallride is...well, i consider it to be my best looking stunt...just looks damn nice to me. And, getting the wallride going, AND keeping it going all the way was a pain in the arse, dont belive me? go try

6:14 - Tankbump 2 crane... well a lot of you might not know it but this is a real oldie...i know a lot of people were trying this WAY back, so it felt good to land it. Besides that, tankbumping in SA is really annoying... sometimes the tank wont give you any bump at all, it just slows you down...so yea. a n n o y i n g.

OK, rant over. The reason for this is that the "avarage" vid watchers "appreciate" only height and distance in stunts...this is just my attempt of talking about what was behind the stunt, so you know better. I AM NOT saying that high as hell stunts are bad, hell, they look crazy, i love seeing them, im just saying that there are a lot of issues that you need to solve when you want to land a stunt. Acctuly, this post was kinda pointless...because im sure a lot of people from all kinds of different sites are going to watch the vid and not even read this post...so yea. But im just telling this to gtas people.

Great job by all stunters, this couldn't been made without all people in this. I love it as a vid, something we made together, as one, again.

j/k guys, I dont care who was the best in this vid, it was awesome overall and stunters shouldn't be reviewed against each other, I think more the vid as a whole was the case, As One Again you know, we were a team doing this vid, and everyone did their best stunts ever IMO, and thats the most important thing. Now, on-topic again before this becomes a TMS-XSA competition

Cause fugi scripted that cam angle on his stunt , and it looked good so we decided to use it. I guess the rest of the song was shit though since it wasnt used.

I'm trying an mtb bump to grind atm, the cam really makes it hard to land when its looking up at you.

Post by: kr3mlin on August 30, 2006, 07:59:29 AM: The original As One, a crazy idea to make a San Andreas Crew Collab between the established XSA crew, and the wild and up and coming TMS crew. This pooling of resources ended with the creation of As One, everyone was happy and it opened up some great new boundaries. The original some great new ideas surface, the backstoppie to grind, the packer to wallride technique and one of the icebreaking cork 2 grinds (even if it wasnt the first). It was praised by many a stunter and we all knew it would come a time when another video would come along to continue this.

Present day......

TMS are now firmly rooted (and addicted to their place) in the stunting world, XSA is a different beast, but the "New XSA" as someone told me has many top names. I feel positions have switched. As One was posted in XSA's section, and now AoA is in TMS section, whether it is sharing or just a sign of influence on the direction of this video I dont know. Here in comes AoA.....if you have read this far in the topic you might have an indication that it is a pretty cool video. This video again has pushed some limits.....Anyone who knows me knows I have a taste for all things weird and wonderful in stunting, and in knowing how much effort was put into this video I expected big things.

The editing: awesome intro for two reasons. It looked smooth and technically well executed. And also it wasnt too long. The main of the video had that nice scripted start which looked great. The editing was great all around, I found though at times you went a just a bit far on some effects, not stunt spoiling, but it did get to me. The quality was great (on my x264 version) and all I can say is I want Tackleberry's computer. The effects at 4:33 and 4:55 were very cool i must say.

This video had alot of height, lots of big bumps and packerbumps....we all knew they could be done one day and this was the day. Therefore my reaction most of those was "cool" but they are the stunts that dont and wont stay with me. The stunts that will are those that stood out in their own special way. Tackleberry's nice wallclimb to billboard grind, the bsm's...sure ive seen them a million times in VC and i generally dislike bumps but its great to see people showing up what VC people thought they could call their very own (no disrespect its just fun). Continuing on with other stunts that were cool: Corevil's psb to bonk to the carpark in LV, The Kert wallride...lovely work buddy and Sweet's LV krail 2 grind at the Police station. The rest of the stunts....they were probably the best bumps, packerbumps, wallrides, infernus roofs etc that have ever been landed but I probably wont remember many of them because the video was full of them and stunting is full of them. You guys should be proud because you have excelled in what you want in stunting...getting landings or reaching a goal, top work all round and my congratulations. But alot of this doesent interest me, its good and i know it...but i just dont care.

AoA is a great video and a shining example of the SA stunting that people at GTAS love

It looked kinda strange that cars and motorbikes didn't hurt, when they landed on roof. But if you [censored]ing try this, they are both fucking hard(he means stunts in teams, lol) But I doubt that there was no cheating.

OMG i knew it try doing infernus tank bumps on ps2 with no invulnerable cheat on, it doesn't work, you catch on fire and crash and die no it's not that extreme modding other secondary vehicles work just as well i guess. thanks for those links TD!

No, it's possible to do infernus stunts without the invulnerable cheat. I proved that by redoing my infernus stunt from "Never Gonna Stop", without SACC on.

Actually that's not true. 80% of the time you catch on fire when doing tankbumps. 15% of the time you get smoke and 5% of the time you get no damage at all. I can prove that with a .rep from almost a year ago. I kept catching fire and one time I didn't get any damage at all and tankbumped the roof.

i was gonna reply to this but thankfully td and tack are way ahread of me

i just hate typing HESYOAM every 30 seconds, i use it for non-tankbump stunts too, just so my car looks nice, i wont use a stunt if i land it upside down and stay like that long enough to catch fire ( if i wouldnt be using the invulnerable vehicle cheat ) and stuff like that

1) Intro
The intro was very original and cool, music fitted well, however i liked AO intro much more.

2) Stunts
1:21 - awesome height, great stunt
1:35 - very cool BB grind, but it didn't impress me much
1:44 - nice grind, too bad you grind not much
1:54 - fantastic air, really good p2b
2:00 - nice car stunt
2:08 - very solid height, i liked it
2:14 - good bump, probably was hard to get the needed angle
2:23 - first time i see this type of stunt in a stunt vid(i don't even know how did ExPlo call it ), that was very impressive
2:29 - interesting landing, however i would say it's more a credit-type stunt
2:34 - wow, that was very creative, good job
2:41 - nice height, good one
2:49 - very good bump, however it was hard for me to see what did you bump
2:57 - nice, but not great
3:04 - awesome landing, i don't think you planed to land like that, but that was great
3:12 - pretty high p2b, good one
3:18 - interesting grind, too bad such stunts aren't as impressive as they could be in VC...
3:25 - big air stunt, but it didn't make me go wow
3:32 - i love such stunt, good job on this one
3:41 - great grind, awesome
3:47 - it looked ok
3:53 - one more great car stunt from TD
4:03 - sweet height, nice
4:08 - not impressive at all after Juan's sig
4:15 - cool tankbump
4:21 - now that stunt impressed me, great one
4:28 - nice landing, but small height
4:32 - good ???()
4:38 - great grind
4:52 - another one of those thingies, good one
5:03 - i don't really find such stunts that impressive, but it was quite cool
5:11 - haha, great one
5:18 - oh no, it's getting overused
5:29 - i really loved the way you landed it, you got just right height
5:33 - great landing
5:40 - another cool grind
5:54 - i liked DC(or was it InsaNe?) p2b more(and he did it without RAD's method, i believe )
6:01 - great landing, probably was hard
6:08 - good db, nothing more to add
6:14 - awesome stunt with nice landing
6:19 - congrats on getting on the top of the crane, i believe a lot of stunters have tried it

3) Editing
To be honest, i was disappointed, that wasn't what i expected from Tack. It looked like you were trying to make the vid really energetic, but you've done more that you should. You used too much effects that spoiled some stunts, especially in the beginning. The cam movement was really nice as usual, but those effects weren't needed at all.

4) Music
It was ok, good song for editing, but i've listened to it too much before.

5) Overall
The vid was good, yeah, but i can't even say that it's in my sa top 3 list. Maybe the stunts in AOA are way harder than the stunts from SA Smackdown or Necrosis but they didn't impress me as much overall, and i also prefer SAS and N editing+music than AOA's one.

ehmm I don't see why it's not ok to post in old video topics. Not everyone were here when the vid got released, that doesn't mean they shouldn't express their opinion on the video (which I'm sure aMer did, in chinese or something) and where else should they do that than the topic (in general, not only this specific situation). It's not like the video has an expiration date like an apple on a store shelf. Bumping other old non-video topics is bad though.
