So my first post with real internet (FINALLY) is a vid...

The Getaway 2 (as one would probably assume) is the sequel to a vid Dark and I did a fair while back. It's basically cops making nitwits of themselves. This outing took us to the streets of Liberty City. We hope you guys enjoy.

Anyway, I've already commented this, but it's worth to be commented agian. I have thought, and this is the best GTA video I have seen. It beats all regular stuntvids.

awsome vid, the editng was a bit plain and i saw a few fillerish clips but the rest was amazing n very entertaining ,my fav  moment is 1:23 i laughed out loud  :)

Amazing work, my fav. part was when Dark is driving the car and Kan is running with the cops behind him  :lol:  :P

Hey welcome back around dude :)

Getaway was so long ago and this is a worthy successor. A very enjoyable video and you only need to look at other comments to see it. Dont get me wrong I enjoyed it but i figure id pick it apart cos most other posts show what was good about it.

-The effects were well used but in a couple of cases obscured the stunt/moment. For example at 2:15 the contact was a bit too skewed but not too bad. Maybe just move those sliders a bit closer to zero ;) I dont know if you just used the same settings for that particular effect but maybe check it for each time cos in this case the way the image was at that time made it seem heavier (cant think of a better word :( )
-The nature of the video was obviously never gonna have more variety than the police AI (or lack of it) allowed. But I found that your layout at times a bit repetitive. In that you didnt spread out some of the more unique moments

Thats me picking it apart for you :) Cool video, I hope to see another soon. Not as good as some of the opening comments I saw suggested though

Thanks for the comments lads.

@ kr3m - The effects were all copies of an original keyframe set...but I too noticed that some differed from others. The repetitive nature was a little intentional...on certain parts of the song (portions where I freeze-framed), I wanted cops hitting other cops...spread the rest out as best I could.

I think the content of the vid wasn't quite as good as it could have been, but the cops in LC have some wierd path problems which makes good spots for them to do spectacular stuff very limited...and there's no FBI Ranchers either.

I appreciate the breakdown though...and I appreciate all the feedback from everyone.

Pure genious :D I watched the first one quite some time ago, it was a good watch but this one was a bit more crazy. I really liked the camera work and scripting, especially the shot at the bridge from portland to staunton island, looked real class :]

This is an awesome vid, now I feel like watching a ton of themed vids :P

If there was going to be a TG3...it'd be SA. I'm not too sure how good SA replay content with police would look, seeing as how all cars in replays for SA seem to be suffering some form of vehicular Parkinson's disease.

But I'm willing to give it a try, for sure.

whoa, I watched Getaway1 + 2 this week, they are both amazing. To me those vids have a great dynamic added by the cops which makes it for me even more enjoyable than the regular stunt videos, didn't watch to many though. Really fun to watch, great music as well...Poor cops they are just born to fly...I would love to see this "police incompetence" mentioned in Getaway1   @ this title, would anyone know where to find it or what other similiar vids are out ?
