Actual project name: GTA: Multiplayer Stunting
When I fighted with gunner in the other topic :D i got the idea to create a Multiplayer mod for GTAStunting.com
It try to get it smooth as possible.
Features for first alpha should be:

Have some ramps, allow health and armor cheat, and have no weapons. Also have packers and PCJ's everywhere, or maybe build in a packer/pcj spawner.

i could add infinite health and armor.
Also a config file for cars and objects etc at host side
i just tested the netcode with madhacker and we got a ping of 85 - this is getting really gd

This sounds like an awesome idea fox, but before i ask any more questions/comments, will this game be for vice city or san andreas?

Added it sum seconds ago to the suggestions box...
But due the memory and scm of the games it would be easily to create a multigame exe using arrays. :D

The features clearly states that it is for both Vice City and San Andreas lol.

I meant its 100%ly for SA but i still dunt know if i will create a VC one :P

Alright, here's a few things i've come up with, if they're dumb or impossible to do then just ignore me.
- Will this work over LAN and Internet?
- After stunting in other multiplayer mods (GTA Rumble), i noticed that replays are'nt too good when two people perform the same stunt one after another, as its difficult to get a good view of both people performing the same stunt. So i'm wondering, would it be possible to set up a bot third player or a camera for the replays, to either follow both players and keep them in the camera view, or in a fixed position? (if that makes sense at all)
- How will the vehichles spawn? will they be roaming the streets, or could they be spawned in areas around the cities, like grove st, airports etc?
- Would it be possible to have teleport locations to move players between the three main cities?

Its TCP - so u can use on the internet and in lan. :)
(Maybe i will add a serverbrowser for lan)

I thought about removing the original replay system and use a camera which can be controlled by switching to spectator mode. That would mean that u can c each other stunting in real time. The replay system would loop the players and the other person might get confused.

If i make the defination files server based u can spawn everywhere. I thought about adding a original parked cars file.
But if i use static points (like rumble and mta vc) i would park sum cars near spawnpoints in first release until the community made a list of cars.

I think i will create a marker at each spawnpoint where the player can walk in. that means that u can select a location where to teleport to. and if u die u see the same menu. (Spawnpoint selection)

I dont know y that should be against the rules. Its a community project so its even better when its named like it is atm. Also the name isnt copyrighted so that shouldnt be a big problem

The only thing i could do is to try to make it save the replays in the replay directory using different files - then create a player to show u the whole multiplayer session in 30 second parts :P
btw: this is a joke
But any other suggestions until i start syncing the rest (pos and car is synced so far)

Steed mod shouldn't be added, but nitro to cars who are supposed to be available to get nitro.
Skills should be at the highest rate. Spawnpoints should be customizable through a server client or something similar. :P
There could be some selectable skins, those who are in the game.

i wont do Unlimited health right now cuz i think its sumwhat better if there r health icons at sum points...
Grenades - no: becuz i wont add weapons rite now. This is still an early stage i started this about 4 - 5 hours ago (and worked about 2 lol)
Jetpack - i will work on it :)
About skins: I was wondering which skins, which cars near their spawnpoint, where they r spawning.
btw: as mod u should know if the name is against the forum rulz.

This project looks very promising, Fox. Gunner has complained to me about you using the GTAStunting name in title of this modification and trying to convict him of plagiarizing your work however, which I don't find too respectful.
As for not caring about using GTAStunting's name without permission from the owner, that's a little uncool even if it isn't copyrighted. I personally don't care all that much as long as it's not saying "Official GTAStunting.com SA Mod" without my and other admins' permission. I personally like to know about these projects from the get-go, and I enjoy welcoming new experienced programmers into the community.
I hope this project goes very for you, and hopefully soon we will see some results that will get GTAStunting.com's name out there, we need all that we can get.

K. In the morning i recoded nearly everything in about 1 hour. I just removed the namecheck and the ingame stuff because it was a bit buggy and crashy.
I will do sum sync again now. :)

Worked one hour on the correct input stuff and multilined chat now.
Oh yeh and i added sum more syncs and sum cars in debug mode :P

Added new slerp to move players sumwhat better + I added sync of the vel which makes spark visible while grinding. Cars sill rnt synced cuz i m worried that i damage my source haha
Also i havent had that much time - i havent used my pc yesterday. And today i was to lazy to programm :P

I just finished my homework so i will test with RedFox and try to recode the last functions.
That sounds confusing to some of you maybe:
I code my functions in crapy programming style. Add them to see if they are working. And then i will recode them in clean style so i can add them finally to my "final" app. :)

Gunner: As u may noticed: i stopped all contact to you. Also I wont react on your offtopic post anymore. This is not a try to proof that i am a better programmer than you. I want to make a programm that people can have fun with it. And i like stunting too. And the biggest GTA Stunting site i know is gtastunting.com.
So please: Stop flaming me and my topic(s). And dont even try to contact me about your problems with finding an address (Horn addy as sample) or VB problems (Replay tool as sample). :angry:
I fixed a very nasty bug which appeard in last testing. Also i added some new functions for the cars which will be activated soon.

Might I ask, Fox and gunner, are your works both limited to two players or not, before I decide who to support(though gunner gets a good note in my book for that replay system(which has to be released fast or I'll take it away again)). Since all the screenies I've seen so far only feature two players(I remember one with 6 from gunner though).

Later on, I will add 6 players again, first i want to sync everything for 2 players, and for that replay system, you might aswell take it away, since i'm more interested in making mp mods atm..

For now this project only supports 2 Players.
I work on NET.GTA which will maybe support up to 64 players. ;)
But this is made for stunting which means that everything must be really smooth so that you can see each other grinding and not stucking in the rails.
But if the core is working i maybe add some more players using a batch socket & scm. :)
Update:
I worked a bit at a Netcode.ocx which will be opensource - it is a Socket to Socket TCP plugin for VB6. I will use it in GTA: Multiplayer Stunting then. Also i worked a bit at a IPC to connect to a scm hook. Because when i get a working SCM hook in VB it would be possible to sync alot of players by upgrading my TCP Plugin and using the SCM hook instead my actual SCM Co-op. :D

Ok so let me get this straight, you want to make a 2 player SA mod, which will make stunting easier and you can play with A friend, personally i dont want stunting easier, and i would want to play with more than 1 friend.
I would also like to tell you and gunner to grow up
its a fucking program get over it, fox you was originally making the mod with gunner, he then ditched tutorial mp, you coded in the winsock stuff, then went with adtec as his scm coder you was left, and it looks very similar as if you got the scm and edited it, i know this because i tested both of them, even when you were working together you coded a winsock and edited adtecs scm, and that was all scrapped when cm mp came and started again with adtec.

I am very confused since i made all the SA: 2P tutorial multiplayer stuff (also scm)
And sent to gunner (cuz he wanted for his project).
You can even ask AdTec who should know that i was a SCM coder orginally. I told him how to fix most of the bugs which appeard with Gunner's scm which he build up when i said that he shouldnt use all my code before SA: 2P tutorial Multiplayer is out. I dont know who has read my blog on msn - but Redfox92 posted atleast 2 Comments about SA: 2P Mutliplayer tutorial before gunner wanted the stuff for testing and exploring it. ;)
Also you should remember that the SA: 2P TM was based on older NET.Andreas sources build with Enet - i just converted to winsock (TCP) and created a new SCM for it. Also i docced all lines of code.
AdTec has never been a developer for my projects i think. I sent him a Mem hacking sample in VB once. Nothing more i think...
w/e: this app isnt build up on any SA: 2P code (and i say once more - just the background image is made by gunner :: Code is by me).
Just to state that and to clear everyting up.
(btw: hope you can understand my crapy english)

Got the SCM hook working better.
This project shouldnt make Stunting easier. this is made so people can stunt together.

I added bikes, planes, quad, vortex, boats and ramps near spawn area (LS Airport) :D
Oh yeh and i added sum monstertrucks and alot of packers B)

EDIT: and if gunner had nothing to do with tutorial mp how come you were im hte hamachi network we set up to test the mp's gunner made you dont just turn up in one you need to know the password and name....

I worked on the layout of the final version. Also I talked alot with alienx after he released the source of online andreas/gta: syncd. Then I got the animations working in the crapy version. The netcode is ready so I can finally start syncing everything.

Battle of the Multiplayers :P Should be fun. Might I ask, replay system? Different skins for each player or all the same? As well as bike skins, do they differ? How many players does it support? Any news?

Players will be able to select spawnclass. Dont know what you mean by bike skin. As i said its just 2 Players.
But we decided to recode NET.GTA using VB (raknet,scmhook,DXhook, etc.) which means there will be a bigger mp mod by me too. :D
btw: what ingame interface u got if it isnt command line or hot key based?
